We are so thankful that many people think about the HOH staff and kids and send cards and small gifts through the mail.  It is so exciting to receive these greetings and gifts.    Unfortunately, our mail service is not as reliable as it could be.  One of the frequent questions many of you ask is, "Did you receive the card I sent?"  Many of the cards are received but some incoming and outgoing mail does not reach the intended recipient, or if it does,...

Merry Christmas from the CRC Staff, God has abundantly blessed us with so many prayer and financial supporters again this year.   He is so good to us!  One of our major blessings is resources that are sent here from the US and Singapore to help us continue to take advantage of  doors that  God has opened  for us.    We have talked many times about the value of the medical supplies and clinics, clothing, vitamins,...

We hope you have enjoyed reading the testimonies of several of the children this week.  Each of the testimonies reflects one of the family units at HOH.   Today we are sending you the story of another group of siblings.   There are two siblings in this family at HOH, both are quite young.   We have helped more on this testimony, getting information orally from them and also from their social worker.   Their story is one of the harder ones for us, as...

Here is the third testimony from the kids, representing another group of siblings.    The children mentioned in this testimony came from a nearby town and were referred to us by our social worker.   The social worker was also able to get assistance for the grandmother of the children.   Pictured are some of our other kids on a recent field trip to Davao City which included three days and two nights in a traditional home setting.  We try to give the...

Here is our second testimony from one of the children living at Haven of Hope Orphanage.   You can clearly see how God has protected her and her siblings for a special purpose.  To the left is a picture from her village. Testimony #2 I am _____________.  I am one of the oldest here at the orphanage.  I come from a nearby Muslim village.   My mother died of a hemorrhage when she gave birth to her 13th child.  All hopes were gone when my Ina (...

Greetings in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Recently, we had the kids work on their testimonies to help with their understanding of how God has worked in their lives. While the stories are difficult to tell, it is helpful for them to discuss and write out their histories. We think the testimonies are important for our prayer and financial supporters to read as it shows you the importance of the work with the HOH kids and the need for a children's home, like HOH. We have taken the kids names...

HOH Newsletter - July 2011 Kid’s Summer Activities  The children at HOH enjoyed their two-month summer vacation from school in April & May. They were involved in enjoyable activities such as bag-making, stick broom-making, and visiting families and loved ones in the nearby villages. As part of their entrepreneurial training, the children made brooms out of dried coconut midribs which they sold for P15.00 each (about 35 cents). They also visited their families in the...
