MEET THE KIDS
In mid-August, 2010, a new child arrived at HOH, Princess. She is 6 years old. Her mother died at birth and she has been raised by an auntie, who asked that HOH take her into the family on a temporary basis. There are some medical issues in the family and they are currently not able to care for her.
PLEASE NOTE: AFTER FOUR MONTHS, PRINCESS WAS RETURNED TO AN AUNTIE WHO IS ABLE TO CARE FOR HER. PLEASE CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR HER.
Other children arriving this year (2020) at HOH are Nelvin, Christine Mae and Nemar. They were brought to HOH from the streets of Digos City and arrived thin, hungry and malnourished. Their father was killed in an accident and their mother had no way to feed or care for them. She asked for assistance from HOH to take in the children during the second week of January 2010.
The kids are making a good transition but are not able to go to school at this time. HOH staff is ministering to them and also providing lessons from materials donated from the US. Nelvin, the youngest (in blue) is three years old.
Christine Mae is six and to the right is Nemar who is seven years old. They were very excited to receive clean clothes to wear and to be able to have food three times a day. Nemar wants to become a soldier someday and Christine Mae wants to become a teacher. PLEASE NOTE: AFTER MUCH PRAYER AND DISCUSSION WITH FAMILY, STAFF AND THE SOCIAL WORKER, CHRISTINE MAE WAS TAKEN BACK BY HER MOTHER IN FEBRUARY, 2011. WE ARE VERY SAD ABOUT THIS. THIS IS NOT A GOOD SITUATION FOR CHRISTINE MAE. PLEASE BE IN PRAYER ABOUT THIS.

The kids are fitting in well with the others and have very good attitudes about helping.
