God is At Work!
Maayong Adlaw sa Tanan (Good Day to You All!)
We are so excited to share some of the recent stories and blessings about the work in the villages near Digos City. God has answered many prayers and we rejoice that so many new partners have come on board to prayerfully support the ministry. We also have many new partners who are assisting in both physical and financial donations. We also have hosted many teams in recent months and God has used them to help spread His important message. Be sure to check out the website at www.hohkids.com for more info and pictures. So let's get started praising God for the many blessings.
Guihing Village
In our last newsletter we frankly presented our funding challenges in this village as well as how the work there is expanding rapidly. We went to God in prayer over this situation and he has been so faithful in providing the funds needed to keep many of the programs in operation. We also now have many new prayer partners as a result of sharing our needs with you.
Many people were able to help with our finances either through one time gifts or monthly commitments to giving. God provided a funding level of 800/month which allows us to continue with most of the basic ministries. Instead of one major supporter we now have about 15, so our base is much stronger than in the past.
With these funds we are able to 1) keep the church open and increase evangelistic outreach, 2) disciple many new believers, 3) have a basic pre-school, 4) expand activities with the rapidly growing youth group and 5) keep three full-time local missionaries and their families on the field.
We also have been able to give out Bibles to many new believers, conduct baptisms and perform many marriage ceremonies in the village to reinforce the need for a strong family structure.
A challenge that is still present is the feeding program for the children that attend the pre-school. We have not been able to continue this program and also have not been able to have a second pre-school session each day.
We are though so thankful that the funds came through to allow for the continuation and even expansion of other programs. . Daghang Salamat sa Ginoo! (Many thanks to the Lord)
Punta Biao
We always give thanks to God for the faithful support of the Rolling Hills Covenant Church for the ministries in Punta Biao. Ministry platforms are required for our presence in this village. Through the support given, we are able to continue programs which are not only changing lives physically, emotionally and socially but most important spiritually. A harvest is occurring among the younger generation in this village. Please continue to pray for open doors here and for ways to reach all the people in the village.
Thanks for Faithful Service and Welcome to New Interns
We have been blessed by many faithful servants of God who work in the villages. Many of the workers are interns or here on a short-term basis. This year we say goodbye to Allen, Lalang, Retsy, and Lyn. We also will be missing Jason Lewis who is getting married on August 7th and will return for a time to the US with his bride Kezia. We welcome Noelson, Grace, Jamie Joy, Ofelia and Ann to the team and look forward to their service. Please be in prayer for those who have left and for the new workers here. Pictured along side of the new interns are full-time workers Arvin and Maritez, Jepoy, Fely, Lazel and Philip and Josephine. (not pictured is Ofelia, intern in Guihing)

We have been blessed by several short term teams in the past three months including a local team from Davao, a team from Florida Atlantic University, a Sowers Team lead by Kezia and a group of interns from the Nehemiah Team. They all have worked along side our full-time workers in the heat of the day and the rains as well. We appreciate their service to the Lord.
We also look forward to a team coming in mid-August from California led by Tim and Kathy Atchley that will be doing medical clinics as well as a team from Cebu that comes in late August.
