Haven of Hope Orphanage

 Merry Christmas from the CRC Staff,

God has abundantly blessed us with so many prayer and financial supporters again this year.   He is so good to us!  One of our major blessings is resources that are sent here from the US and Singapore to help us continue to take advantage of  doors that  God has opened  for us.    We have talked many times about the value of the medical supplies and clinics, clothing, vitamins, books, toothbrushes, backpacks and many other items that are sent here.  Of course, financial donations are also greatly needed and appreciated.    We are using these resources to reach and bless people in the name of Jesus.

To open our Christmas season, we again hosted a fellowship event on Decembers 5, to encourage  the pastors/pastoras and their spouses.  The event was held at the HOH Orphanage and included a free dinner, entertainment from the HOH kids, games, prizes and gift giving.  About 50  churches were represented. We heard heartfelt  testimonies this year for the first time on how this annual event has benefited and encouraged the pastors. 

A verse shared that night was Hebrews 10:24, "And let us consider how we can spur one another on toward love and good deeds".  

Most of the pastors in attendance have limited funds and resources.   Many work in difficult areas and have congregations that cannot adequately support them.   Many of their people lack Bibles.  We were able to give them not only shoes and clothing this year but also about 180 New Testaments and 25 complete Bibles, all in the Cebuano language.    We asked the pastors to only take Bibles if they needed them.   All of them took Bibles, indicating the great need.

The Pastors also prayed for the HOH kids and CRC/HOH staff members.   We were all blessed by the evening.
